At first I was annoyed that this new logo for the DC Wizards was just a touch-up of their terribly outdated logo, especially when they also came up with this. However, by changing the wizard’s skin color from gold to dark blue, I think the Wizards have become the FIRST dark-skinned mascot in the Big Four of professional sports that is NOT named after a race of people. Does this count as progress away from racist sports logos?
